Markdale Hospital provides services to approximately 22,000 people in central Ontario. The vision is to develop a new rural health centre that provides care within the local community. The construction of a new facility provides new modern infrastructure for emergency care, outpatient ambulatory services, diagnostic services, and procedures. The design reflects the community it serves and addresses the unique challenges of providing healthcare in a rural environment.
