Jim Goodwin is recognized as one of the leading specialists in his field, designing institutional buildings including hospital and related health care facilities, laboratories, research centres, and high security buildings. A highly complex, constantly evolving area, this type of work demands total concentration from architectural designers. Jim has made it his focus for the last 44 years with special attention to planning, programming and project management.

Since joining our team in 1974, Jim has worked on key projects, including the University of Calgary’s Health Research Innovation Centre and the National Headquarters Building in Ottawa.  Jim’s specializations take him across Canada and beyond.
